Spring

A few days left to spring and after ~9 years of living in Canada, this is the first year that I completely and uterly feel like Norouz is coming. The same feeling that I had while growing up in Iran. I guess one of the reasons is the mild weather and one can be the excitement of Azure Dome Festival! It's going to be fantastic and great. I hope more Non Iranian come to this festival so they can have a sence of our Norouz and culture. The coming weeks are going to be extra busy with Mohandes and Azure dome and parties!!can't wait for all the excitment!to tell you the trueth I am getting a bit board:P

Finally my friend and I had the pleasure of dining at Hard Rock Cafe last night. We meant to go there so many times but the timing was never good. The food was fine but what captures you most is the environment, the collection of clothing and musical instruments used by different artists. We saw nickel back guitar, Madonna's outfit in one her shows and etc. I recommend experiencing the fun in the cafe:)

Life Vs. Driving simulation

I have been thinking alot while driving to similarities between roads, drivers, behavious and construction. I can see a small version of life in this small process. For example, When you are entering to the high way through the ramp, which normally is only one lane, all drivers are back to back in a line. You can't by pass anyone, but as soon as you reach to the spot that you have detached lines you can change lane and by pass. Now, some people do it as soon as they get the chance, some people wait. You would think that the people who changed the lane first would get faster ahead since they have moved up with the more flowing traffic!but wait, there are exception to this rule, TRAFFIC, which in this case can be one of those occasions in life that you planned on but suddenly you see that things are not going with tht right paste. I have noticed that in some instances regardless of how many cars you by pass it is very possible that you all get to the destination with few seconds difference. So why race? why be aware of the surrounding and take the chances when opportunities become available?sometimes it works and some times it doesn't. Some times in life you get ahead and sometimes you go with the flow. Now sweating over an opportunity would not necessarily be worth it. Atleast that's what I have found. I like to be the winner all the time. But that's not possible!sometimes you have to keep your eyes on the prize and if it means that you will go with the flow now, but later would fly ahead then so be it. For example. On bayview and John heading north, if you keep on the right lane you would get ahead fast than if you take the left one, despite the fact that the left lane is suppose to be the faster moving one!!I have gathered lots of other examples by just observing, trial and error. Ofcourse there are drivers that think, they know the best and everyone is either slow or a fool!now, those drivers who take other's right of way, make me really mad.(and that's when it makes me think about becoming a police officer!). I have done some experiments of those situations too. Now lets say a driver took your right of way or broke the rule of not turing right on red light when the sign is there, I have noticed that the despite the fact that they think the are smart and could manage a few second to go ahead but still will be behind me!!why you ask? because like life, somepeople's ambition finishes with one win!but others keep on going!..To be continued.

Oscar

This weekend flew by way too fast!Saturday my friend and I watched ,Election, A teen movie, which I don't recommend!!and participated int he debate about the Prophet Mohammad's cartoon discussion. I think it's very interesting to hear that there are still people who think like I do! Afterwards tea at Tim Horton with the rest of the friends and head off to Swiss Chalet for dinner. Playing pool and foosball was the high lights of the night!!I enjoyed myself alot:) Sundy my friend and I did some tax calculations and tried to watch ,Being Julia, but no luck to finish it! since we had guests coming over and to help my mom:) we watched the Oscar with the guests and I should admit that under no other circumstance, I would have watched Oscar again alone!!I thin it would be completely waste of my sleeping hours;) I will watch it though with friends!But even if I don't watch it I will check for the ruslts to make sure my favorite actor and actresses have won:)
